This week was extremely chaotic. On Monday I started feeling the onset of a cold. I’ve been noticing that my nose gets stuffy every time I go surfing which I believe is because of the shit quality of water near Kuta and Canggu. On Tuesday night my entire team was let go from our company because of the recession in the US. I was supposed to finish my Advanced Open Water Diver course on Wednesday but I mostly cried that day.
Once I gathered my thoughts on Wednesday I realized that maybe this was the push I needed all along. I had been telling myself for the longest time that I would focus on making an investment plan, spend more time writing, learn how bloody Premier Pro works 😂, and learn to chill. So after a little debate I decided that I wouldn’t go back to immediately job searching. I’m going to focus on my personal projects and doing freelance software engineering projects that I actually enjoy doing.
Some of the projects I have already lined up –
- Learn investing.
- Find land for the safari lodge I want to build with my mom.
- Finish all of Tim Ferris’ book for my fitness journey.
Next I decided that since I still had Thursday and Friday left in Tulamben, I would go diving. I did four dives at the USAT Liberty, The Drop Off and Coral Temple. My favorite part about the dive was when we saw two Nemo fish and their Nemo eggs. There was a huge anemone forest and it looked so soft and touchable (don’t worry I never touch wildlife unless for safety reasons). I loved diving and felt much better after being in the water.
This Sunday we fly back to Delhi and then my boyfriend is going back to Los Angeles for three months for work and to finish his movie. Excited to see what this new chapter in my life will bring.
