Indian food is famous all over the world. The spicy curries, succulent biryanis and mango lassi have captured the imagination of people all over the world. From crowd favorites such as Pav Bhaji and Gol Gappa to lesser known sweets you can find good street food at every street corner. Here I have listed the top 50 restaurants with the best street food in Jaipur.

Chawla’s and Nand’s (Gol Guppa, Raja Park)

Gol Gappas are famous here. These are tiny wheat balls filled with sweet and spicy chutney water and potato chaat. One of the most famous street foods in India that isn’t found anywhere else.

Rawat Mishthan Bhandar (Pyaaz Kachori, Sindhi Camp)

It’s a little tradition at my chacha’s house to have kachori for breakfast at least once when I visit. The pyaaz kachoris are delicious deep fried patties filled with caramelized seasoned onion filling. These are especially famous among the locals.

Gulab ji Chaiwala (Chai, Sindhi Camp)

This is a famous corner for having tea and fried snacks in the evening. It is always packed with people sipping their hot tea and chatting away. Go here for some authentic masala tea as yall white people like to call it.

Lassiwala (Lassi, Jayanti Market)

This shop opens early and is usually closed by 4pm because their lassi sells out very quickly. They serve the lassi in mud kulhads that are meant to be smashed after you finish the lassi. The lassi is made with homemade curd and kewra water that is topped with malai. It is rich and delightful!

Sodhani Sweets (Mirchi Vada, Rambagh Circle)

The Mirchi Vada is a local Jaipur food wherein potatoes are stuffed in wax peppers and then deep fried. This is a local speciality that tastes very different then most of the famous street food in North India. Definitely one you should try.

Kalkatta Chaat Bhandar (Dal Cheela, C Scheme)

Cheela is a type of light pancake made with lentils that is eaten for breakfast in North India. The cheela is served with paneer and a blend of chutneys, yoghurt and chilies. This is a great place to have breakfast.

Samrat (Kachori, Chaura Rasta)

Always crowded during breakfast time, this restaurant has the best breakfast snacks like kachori, samosa and jalebi. Try a breakfast of kachori and then sweet jalebis dipped in hot milk. It’s heaven!

Jagannath Sharma Pakodi Wale (Pakora, JDA Market)

Serving a huge variety of pakoras for more than 7 decades now are Jagannath Sharma Pakodi Wale. You can try all the seasonal veggies and so much more here.

Pandit ki Kulfi (Kulfi, Sirahdeori Bazaar)

The kulfi here comes in the traditional flavors which is a blend of cardamom, saffron and pistachio. It’s incredibly creamy and lovely and a great choice on a hot summer’s day.

Indian Ice Cream Faluda (Falooda, Bapu Bazar)

MY FAVORITE PLACE EVER. I have been going to get falooda from Indian Ice Cream since I was a baby. I literally can eat their faloodas every single day for the rest of my life. It’s creamy with rose sherbet and perfectly sweet. If you want to try falooda anywhere, this is the one place you have to go.

Sanjay’s (Omelette, Bapu Nagar)

After participating in Masterchef India, the owner came back here to open a novelty shop that serves more than 20 varieties of omelettes. The locals love this shop and come here to try out the different types of omelettes.

Sethi Bar-Be-Que (Chicken Tikka, Raja Park)

Believed to serve the best chicken tikka and tandoori in Jaipur is this dhaba style restaurant. The tandoori is served with rotis, chutney and onion rings. Try the lahsooni chicken tikka and hariyali chicken tikka for the best taste.

Falahaar (Srikhand, M.I. Road)

The place is known for its deserts including fruit cream, mango kalakand and shrikhand. These are sweet dishes unique to the north. I was introduced to fruit cream by my dad and I love it. Definitely try at least a couple of dishes here.

Prem Paan (Paan, M.I. Road)

At the end of every meal, people in Rajasthan are fond of having paan. This is created by wrapping a betel leaf around areca nut filling. They have a variety of more than 100 paan flavors. The one you want to try is the Fire Paan. The paan is set on fire and fed to you. Quite an experience!

Al Bake (Kathi Rolls, M.I. Road)

The people usually order the hot and scrumptious kathi rolls here. It’s a great place for chicken lovers to try the local flavors. You can find other dishes like shawarma to try for those that love meat.

Pandit’s (Pav Bhaji, Nehru Bazaar)

This stall near Birla Mandir serves some of the best pav bhaji in the city. It’s served fresh with butter and garlic chutney. The smell is so enticing that you won’t be able to stop eating.

Masala Chowk (Everything, Ram Niwas Garden)

This is an open street food court that families love to come and eat at every night. It has all types of Jaipur street food like samosa, jalebi, gol gappa, chole bhature and tea.

Shop Number 28 (Kulfi Falooda, Bapu Bazaar)

One of the top places for street food in Jaipur is this hole-in-the-wall shop serving delicious falooda. It’s located in the middle of one of the busiest markets in Jaipur and is always filled with customers.

Laxmi Misthan Bhandar (Mithai, Bapu Bazaar)

This is one of the best known larger restaurants in Jaipur. They have some great sweets like Ghewar, Phini, Mishri Mawa and Doda Barfi which are sweets local to the region.

Aunty’s Cafe (Burger, C Scheme)

This is one of the oldest cafes in Jaipur. It serves the typical North Indian burger filled with chutneys, onions and potato patties. I love these kinds of burgers. It’s very different than the normal burgers you would expect.

Gyan Vihar Dairy (Cold Coffee, Gyan Vihar)

This is a popular place for students to hang out at and drink cold coffee. Coffee in India is a delicacy that is very different from coffee in the west. It is made with a lot of milk, sugar and coffee. I love how flavorful it is and you should try it yourself.

Rama Kishana Kalkatti Chaat (Childas, Adarsh Nagar)

Childa is a breakfast street food served in a thali with chutneys, dahi and chole. This is a great plate to try if you want to try something new and light that has local flavors.

Shankar Samosa (Samosa, Adarsh Nagar)

Samosas at this shop have the right balance of spicy and freshness. These guys make them hot everyday with their homemade spice mixture that gives it a kick. One of the best places to try a samosa if you haven’t tried them before.

Gopal Singh Patasi Bhandar (Pav Bhaji, Adarsh Nagar)

This is another small shop that has delicious pav bhaji. The bhaji is hot and spicy just the way I like. Locals gather here late at night everyday to have a post dinner snack.

Raman Dosawala (Dosa, Adarsh Nagar)

South Indian dishes are very popular in North India and have become akin to street food in most cities. This shop has some of the best South Indian street food in Jaipur including dosas. If you aren’t planning on visiting the south then this is a good place to try the cuisine.

Shri Jharkhand Nath Poha and Chaat (Cheesy Pav Bhaji, Adarsh Nagar)

Pav Bhaji upgraded with lots of cheese and grease is known as cheesy pav bhaji. This has recently become very popular all over North India and I for one love it. If you love pav bhaji you are definitely going to love this dish.

Delhi Chaat and Cafe (Paneer Tikka, Raja Park)

For veggie lovers that like the grill, paneer tikka is the perfect option. This cafe is known for its quick service and good food. Paneer Tikka is a staple at every wedding and a famous street food in Jaipur.

Prem Prakash Samosa (Samosa, Adarsh Nagar)

Another great establishment that serves amazing samosas. Their mouth watering samosas with stuffed Indian bhaji is an interesting take on the dish that is worth trying out. Their cream rolls are also delicious and I love having those for deserts.

Wah! Banna (Kanji Vada, Adarsh Nagar)

If you haven’t tried kanji vada or khichdi yet this is going to be a treat for you. I have grown up eating khichdi whenever I was sick and I love having it as comfort food even today. Have it with a glass of lassi and it turns into an amazing meal.

Bhagat Misthan Bhandar (Ladoo, Kishanpole Bazar)

One of the oldest shops in Jaipur, it has gained popularity among the locals for their mouth watering ladoos. Ladoos are round sweets that Indians are extremely fond of. One of the best places for sweet Jaipur street food.

Brijwasi Falooda Kesar Kulfi (Kulfi, Masala Chowk)

Some of my best memories from Jaipur is going to get ice cream and sundaes with my chacha after dinner. You can find a HUGE menu of different faloodas and sundaes here that will make everyone happy. Taking a late night drive and getting a sundae will always make me very happy 🙂

Pawana Rajasthani Vyanjan (Dal Bati, Adarsh Nagar)

This is one of the top places I recommend for street food in Jaipur. They have a Rajasthani Thali with the local delicacies that is delicious. Dal Bati is one of my favorite dinners in Rajasthan and you can taste it as part of the thali. This is what the local people eat everyday and it’s a great way to get to know the culture a little more.

GT’s Jaipuri Chatkara (Pav Bhaji, Adarsh Nagar)

GT’s has an old vibe charm to it. The hole-in-the-wall shop is famously known for having really great pav bhaji. They serve a lot of other local Jaipur street food if you’re in the mood for something else.

House on Fire (Mughlai, Vaishali Nagar)

With the cutest Indian inspired decor and delicious dishes, this is a great place for a sit down dinner of Jaipur street food. They have a variety of dishes from local dishes to Mughlai recipes passed down through the generations.

Andewalaz (Egg Recipes, Masala Chowk)

Andewalaz literally translates to the Egg Man. The chefs make everything with eggs. From burji to omelettes and curries they have the best egg dishes in the city. A unique experience for sure.

G-9 Ice Cream and Shakes (Shakes, Adarsh Nagar)

If you are an adventurous foodie like me then you are going to love this. Their menu includes Mango Falooda, Traffik-Jam, Brownie Blast, Rajbhog Shake and Zafrani Badam Shake. If you’re looking for an Indian twist try anything with mangoes or badam (almonds).

Mahaveer Rabri Bhandar (Rabri, Malviya Nagar)

Rabri is a sweet milk based dish that is best eaten with jalebis. Mahaveer’s does great rabri and dal bati. They are both local dishes eaten by the people all over the region.

Shreenath Lassiwala (Lassi, New Colony)

If you’re looking for a quick snack with paratha and lassi then this is the place to go. They have delicious parathas loaded with butter. The perfect place to stop for a midday snack on your tour of Jaipur.

Saras Parlour (Samosa, Malviya Nagar)

Another great place with a good atmosphere to chill out after a long day and enjoy some great Jaipur street food. Their best dishes are the samosas, rabri and jalebis.

Murli Pan Bhandar (Pan, Malviya Nagar)

I haven’t mentioned a lot of pan places but this one deserves a spot. This dish is going to be a big shock for anyone not from India with a very strong taste and flavor.

GVD (Burger, Malviya Nagar)

This cafe has more of a modern feel with a menu consisting of bugers, shakes and pastas. I go here solely for their Indian style cold coffee filled with sugar and milk and topped with ice cream (western coffee is sh*t, you can’t change my mind).

Sodhani Sweets (Sweets, Bapu Nagar)

Sodhani Sweets is a big sweets chain that everyone loves locally. The place is filled with people all day every day. Their most popular dishes are the rasgulla and kesar jalebis.

Jal Mahal Ice Cream Parlor (Falooda, Ashok Nagar)

Ice cream parlors in Jaipur have such charm imbibed into them that I love every one of them. These guys have an incredible array of sundaes like Chocolava, Death by Chocolate and my favorite, the local falooda.

Ramchandra Kulfi and Juice Centre (Kulfi, M.I. Road)

Another famous Jaipur street food spot where locals gather in numbers during summers is Ramchandra’s. They make great kulfi and glasses of fresh juice can be found on every table. They are way too good to be passed over!

Hanuman Dhaba (Dal Makhani, Raja Park)

Haven’t eaten in an authentic Indian dhaba yet? Well this is your chance. Have a sit down dinner in a dhaba with the best food you can imagine. A dinner of rumali roti, dal makhani and lassi to satisfy your every craving.

Talk of the Town (Butter Chicken, M.I. Road)

I am sure you have been wondering when I would mention butter chicken. Well here it is. The best butter chicken in Jaipur is at Talk of the Town. The restaurant is aptly named so because it indeed is the talk of the town.

Radhe Bakers (Pastries, Raja Park)

If you want to taste the Indian take on western cakes and pastries there is no better place than Radha Bakers. Their sweets are delicious and the cafe is calm and quiet. Perfect to chill out after a hectic day.

Lalaji Patashi Wala (Gol Guppa, Modikhana)

Another great patasi place where you can eat gol guppies to your heart’s desires. They have a clean environment and rest assured their gol gappas are of great quality. A great place to try some!

Aarohi Family Restaurant (Dinner Food, Vaishali Nagar)

An outdoor upscale dhaba with great food like butter chicken, dal makhani and naan smothered with butter. The food is absolutely amazing and I love coming here for dinner.

Chokhi Dhani (Thali, Tonk Road)

If you want to taste a great plate of spicy Rajasthani thali with authentic chutneys and 10 different dishes then make a reservation at the restaurant at Chokhi Dhani. It is one of the most famous places in Jaipur and reservations sell out very quickly. It is my favorite place in Jaipur.
