Also you should make a point to go early in the morning. I noticed that there always used to be clouds after 11am and you could rarely see the mountains.

When you get to the Lahangan Sweet point on Google Maps you will see a wooden sign pointing to a dirt road on the side of the mountain.
Dirt road to top
This road goes all the way to the top to the viewpoint. The road is very steep and unpaved. If you are a confident driver then you can take your scooter all the way up the hill or you can leave the scooter near the wooden sign and walk for 10 minutes to get to the top.
View at top
At the top you will be greeted with a 360 degree view of east Bali. You can see Mt Agung on one side and the ocean and the town of Amed on the other. There are lots of benches to sit on and a bamboo hut you can hide under if it starts to rain.
There is no facility for food or water here so make sure to carry anything you need.
Photo spots
The best thing here are the multiple photo spots here. On the side that looks at Mt Agung you have the treehouse which is the most famous. The wooden structure is wrapped around a tree. There is a small bamboo ladder you have to climb to get to the top. You can get some really cool shots here that make it look like you’re standing on top of a really tall platform.
There is also a square wooden structure that juts out that you can take pictures at. Finally, if you want more natural vibes you can go into the grass and get a shot like that Bukit Cinta surrounded by tall grass.
On the side that faces the ocean there is a wooden boat that looks very cool in pictures. You can see a panoramic view of the entire coastline.
Camping site
The most unexpected thing for me was that there is also a camping spot here that has a generator you can use. I didn’t camp here but it seems like an interesting idea.

- Water Bottle: A must for your visit to Bali is a water bottle. You will lose a lot of water in the hot environment of Bali.

- Swimwear: Suwat Waterfall is great for swimming so get your bikini.
- Towel: Dry off after your swim or use it as a makeshift picnic blanket.
