The day after I came back from Bali I had a trip planned to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve with a friend. It is one of the most famous tiger reserves in the world. People from all over the world come to this place to see tigers.
I went there for a week and did a lot of trekking, bird watching and one safari which as my luck would have it we saw no tigers on. But it was still a very thrilling experience knowing there was a tiger right beyond the trees. I spent the entire week exploring the jungles there and having fun.
At one point we climbed to the top of a hill in the buffer zone to see the view from the top and heard two tigers mating nearby. I swear I almost ran down the hill and to the car. It is terrifying to hear tiger so close to you. If you ever come here don’t miss doing treks in the buffer zone and don’t miss the kulfi the guy on the main street sells.
