The last one and a half months since the start of the year has been a magical whirlwind in more ways than one. I have undertaken some of the coolest adventures ever. In January I took three really cool trips.

The first one was a cruise on the Brahmaputra River up and down near Guwahati. Me and mom booked an overnight cruise and visited a village known for their weaving. The cloth is made with silkworm cocoons and spun into the softest silkiest thread ever. We then continued down the river and saw so many Ganges river dolphins. We spent the night on a seasonal island and then came back to Guwahati the next day. It was the most amazing and relaxing two days.

The next trip was a road trip through Assam where we covered some tea estates at Wild Mahseer, Kaziranga National Park where we saw rhinos and a tiger. We then made our way into the heart of Orang Tiger Reserve to spend a night in the middle of the jungle surrounded by nature. The last stop on the trip was Majuli Island which is the biggest river island in the world. The people of Majuli have a really unique tribal culture that has been preserved due to their separation from the world by the river.

The third trip was to the state of Tripura. We stayed at Agartala for two nights. We visited the Tripurasundari temple, Una Koti stone carvings and Ujayanta Palace. It was a very nice two days of adventure. My favorite part was the boat ride to Una Koti carvings and the short walk to visit a Shiva temple deep in the forest.

February was another heart warming adventure but that story is for next week!
