The remote parts of Bali like Amed and Sidemen are also safe to travel to alone. The locals are very friendly and help you any chance they get. I took surf lessons with the locals in Bali and they were very nice and friendly to me.

No, there is no country in any part of the world named Bali. There are a few places with the name ‘Bali’ in Africa which can be confusing for people. Usually when people talk about Bali they are talking about the island in Indonesia.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Yes, since Bali is part of the country of Indonesia you will need a visa for Indonesia to enter the country. But Bali has some special provisions and citizens from a lot of countries can get a visa on arrival if they fly into Bali without having to apply for a visa to Indonesia. Hence even though Bali is not a country it enjoys some special privileges related to its visa requirements. This is because the government of Indonesia recognized the income that flows into Bali due to tourism.
